Breaking Smallness
Hey loves, let’s talk about something that’s been on my heart lately—the concept of smallness and how it holds us back. I came across a TikTok video where the creator spoke about how some people stay stuck because they’re in agreement with smallness. She tied it to the journey in Exodus through Deuteronomy, where God wanted to lead His people to the Promise Land, but many couldn’t move forward because they were too aligned with their limitations.
That hit me hard. How often do we, whether knowingly or not, settle for less than God’s best for us? We get comfortable in cycles, relationships, or mindsets that shrink us because they feel safe or familiar. But staying small is not God’s design for us. He’s calling us to step into abundance—not just in material things but in our confidence, purpose, and faith.
Recognizing Agreement with Smallness
Smallness can look like:
• Saying “I’m not ready” when you are.
• Procrastinating on ideas God has placed in your heart.
• Staying in relationships or friendships that drain you.
We’ve all been there. But the first step is recognizing where we’re holding back. Are we afraid of rejection, failure, or outgrowing people? Whatever the reason, it’s time to name it, face it, and break free from it.
Shifting to a Promise Land Mindset
The Promise Land mindset is about faith, trust, and bold action. It’s stepping out even when the road feels uncertain because you know God’s got you. Here’s how to start shifting:
1. Challenge Your Thoughts
Every time you catch yourself thinking small, replace it with truth. “I’m not qualified” becomes “God equips those He calls.”
2. Stop Asking for Permission
You don’t need validation to walk in your purpose. God’s yes is the only one that matters.
3. Take Faith-Filled Action
Faith without works is dead, so move! Whether it’s starting that project, ending that toxic friendship, or finally saying yes to yourself—do it.

This glow-up season isn’t just about aesthetics (though we’re serving looks too). It’s about transforming from the inside out. Let’s step out of smallness, walk boldly into our Promise Land, and live in alignment with the fullness of who God created us to be.
