For finger - small town
It was from the quarter machine at the laundromat, a replacement for the candy ring that her mom wouldn't let her wear to school. Rio begged his parents to buy one, so of course Beth put it on her finger.
For Love - circus
"Can you make giraffes?" Beth asked.
"Come'er".
Beth sat on the wooden platform and watched him stretch the balloon before bringing it to his lips. Once it was blown up, he started with the giraffe's feet. "My nephew's learnin'. He loves clowns".

Beth pulled a picture up on her phone and slid it over to him, "Kenny, that's Danny, Emma and Jane you saw today". When she glanced up, he was staring at her with a small smile on his lips, "sorry.. god, I show everyone pictures".
"Nah. Uh–" Rio pulled his phone out to do the same, "signed him up for lil' league last weekend". His employees humored him by listening to his stories and looking at his photos, but this was nice, Beth understood him.
