Antagonist woman who loved the hero and still loves the image she has of said hero even if the real thing is a disappointment to her. And she's one of the deadliest foes the hero has ever faced.

Bonus: Siren does get turned to stone at one point.

Not saying that "Gargoyles" was inspired by Devilman, I don't know if it was or wasn't. It's just something that came to my mind when I watched the intro of Gargoyles.
