And what if we see Daniel's turning and we see Armand wiping his mind in the 80s and the scenes parallel each other to a frankly terrifying level. What then

my relationship with final fantasy 13-2 is so fucking fascinating to me because initially I played it as a teen and was a pretty big fan, but in my adult years I was like "FUCK this game I hate this game, time travel is stupid, retconning the ending of 13 is stupid, I don't care about the plot, they made a game soley to appease dudes on the internet and compromised artistic integrity to accomplish that" or whatever the hell. and then I decided to do a deep dive into why I love final fantasy XIII so much, and thought the best lens to analyze that through was the lens of "ff13-2 upsets me so much because it changes all of these things". So to gather my thoughts on how much I disliked ff13-2, I replayed it (I've replayed it probably 5-6 times since my initial playthrough, but never in an analytical way).
and now. and now. ff13-2 is all I think of. I still think the time travel shit sucks and the obviously forced unlinearity is a farce done solely to appease whiny gamers, but if nothing else, the CHARACTERS in ff13-2 are so. so. so. so good. and so important to me. I can't not care. I love them so much. I'm so stupidly attached to Noel and Caius and Yeul. I can wish that ff13 was never given a sequel; it didn't need one. but I can also be thankful that 13-2 exists, because god those characters. those characters. there are few things I am less normal about than ff13-2
hey so lionblaze wouldn't have spent like any time in the med den at all, right?? he had the strength, never-get-injured power. so after the great battle, that means he would have been forced to hang out with jayfeather and leafpool. at first, i imagine he is stiff and awkward, dealing with the loss of his powers. over time i believe he'd eventually engage in casual chit chat, but it would be devastating being with leaf and jay without holly there. i think they would spend a lot of time together because of this, comforting eachother.
