I am incredibly excited and honored to be in the fifth season of @thinkinginfullcolor this year. My piece centers on my experiences as a Jewish woman with Mexican heritage who has spent most of her life straddling walls of experience, with a brief foray into history. For a long time I resisted applying, thinking my narrative didn't have a place in this series, but it's white supremacy that would like to suppress narratives just like mine. And I have no time or patience for that. I'm ecstatic to announce that my #mentalillness monologue, "Dear Future Partner" got accepted by @thinkinginfullcolor ! This will be my second time performing with this wonderful and necessary WOC theater production. So glad to be working with founder & director @summeringo again. She'a utterly fantastic! And just the titles alone of these pieces are so tantalizing. Cannot wait to witness them. Shows are at @nimbusdanceworks from June 21-23 at 8pm and June 24 at 3pm. Let me know if you're attending! Also I'll be performing on my 30th birthday 😁. What a way to kick off my 30s hehe. This monologue is a lot more focused, has stronger imagery, and def easier to memorize haha compared to my last year's "Psychotic Break". I think it'll be more effective and I know I'll perform this one better. Let me know if there any nearby open mics I can practice at. It's gonna feel so damn good to return to the #infullcolor stage.
