Thinking in Systems
The basic definition of a system: A system is a collection of components that act as a unit to form a mechanism or a network; a complicated whole.
Every aspect of our lives is governed by systems. The human body is a walking system. We function and live thanks to the various components of our bodies. It is the details within systems that make up even more systems. The number of systems appears to be infinite from one perspective, but from another, it appears to be one huge system. Nevertheless, the more thoroughly systems are examined, the more complex they become.
“I have yet to see any problem, however complicated, which, when looked at in the right way, did not become still more complicated.” Poul Anderson
