🌷🌹I am finally home and I feel like garbage. Getting my stitches out was an awful process. My amazing doctor stitched me so tightly, that my nurse had to force the scissors in between the skin & stitch and also had to yank a few out. Lots of pain, curse words, and a whole lot of tears. My body feels like I've been repeatedly beat with a baseball bat. I am looking forward to waking up and feeling better. 🤕If I counted right, I was given 9 stitches with an emergency pull string, which is pretty cool. I was told by my doctor this morning that I did very well, full thyroid, and some lymph nodes were taken out. I have been having blood tests throughout the night and will have another after my liquid breakfast this morning. I get to go home if my calcium levels stabilize (they keep dropping) and when the stitches get taken out. 🏨️Bye Bye Thyroid🏨 Between the poking & proding every couple hours, 💉my IV alarm going crazy all night, 🔩blood clot leg pumps squeezing my legs off, and the pain in my throat👎... I've gotten about 1.5 of sleep😩. Discharge today is going to be amazing! Otter Pops have been life saving cause it helps numb my throat🍦, making swelling cool water a little easier. My throat feels very swollen and definitely painful. It is almost like having an 🚨EXTREME🚨 case of strep throat. Stitches come out later today & I've already been told my gauze is stuck to my stitches so😓...let's just say... I'm not excited about that part. This surgery really isn't terrible though , I've had surgeries where I have come out in 10 times more pain and discomfort. This surgery is potentially life saving & I'll now have an awesome scar from it! I've already decided... I survived a 🔪SLASHER SERIAL KILLER🔪! hehe. P.
