I was wondering, could you go more into what you've said about white Cecils with a third eye being racist/cultural appropriation? (I understand why the white part is problematic, just not the eye). I've always liked that headcanon, so I'd really like to understand what's wrong with it so I can avoid similar things in the future. Thank you!
The third eye has religious significance in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Taoism, and it is racist cultural appropriation for non-Asians and non-practitioners of those religions to use third-eye symbolism to make their Cecils look more ~mystical~ or to symbolize whatever psychic powers you think he and Kevin may or may not have, especially if the Cecil in question is not Asian. It's taking those symbols out of context and using them to make a westerner look cool while actual Asian Hindus, Buddhists, and Taoists in this country are still regularly discriminated against for their religions.
If you're not both Asian and a partitioner of one of those three religions, you really shouldn't be drawing third eyes on your Cecil.
Since Cecil himself has always been anti-cultural appropriation, I also consider it OOC for non-Asian Cecils to have third eyes.
