too many thoughts for me to sleep just yet, so i wanted to actually day something about the life series

ive only seen like two posts abt it, one stating Jimmy reported that the life series is going on hiatus

This, actually, has to be really freaking good, for everyone. look, whether or not you think so, we all have lives, including you. And especially the ccs. the life series generates a lot of attention, (i mean feel free to prove me wrong, i seriously have only been officially part of the fandom for no more than two years-ish.)

and so this side of mcyt, has just had a freaking truckload of content fully dogpiled upon us since pastlife smp. The ccs deserve a minute to do other things.

grian, especially, deserves the time to do anything other than immediately force another season to occur. Imo, wildlife and pastlife were really close together, and now PL has been left to the curb for everything else that has happened.

Hermicraft season 11 instantly took all of the attention,

then vsmp showed up, taking three (really well known) hermits, five (REALLY WELL KNOWN) Lifers,

and then nicelife right behind.

All during the end of summer, beginning of school years, all into holiday season. The ccs have lives, they are doing nonstop work. (I get it! Its their jobs! If they are burnt out, theyll take a break ofc!) So thats why they are taking a break. And in all honesty i need the break too, and so do you!!

And as one comment i saw said! This is our time to indulge in the fan content more. This is a wonderful, full, vibrant community. We create and share: fanarts, fanfics, animations, aus, stickers and keychains, books and headcannons.

This is also the time to watch different things! Im new to the vast array of content, and hundreds of the fans here are also!

Watch the different hermits (or the weekly recap!) Watch the different lifers!

Watch other mcyters! (I recently subbed to Legundo! Pyroscythe! Avid! and some of their series seem interesting!)

or this is the time to relax, your favorite show may rest for now or until later, so you may go enjoy other aspects of living. I know i need it.

Anyways my take on Scar betraying (and then un-betraying) Grian in Thirdlife is that he very much intended to fully betray Grian but couldn't go through with it.

We can be super generous and say Scar intended for him and Grian to make it to the end the whole time and thought killing Grian and then betraying Bdubs later would be a better method than both of them killing Bdubs together.

We can also be super cynical and say the whole time Scar was just out for himself, that even agreeing to let Grian kill him was a tactical move to get Grian back on his side and that he was aiming the whole time for nothing but his own advantage.

But I think reality is somewhere closer to the middle.

Scar spent all of Thirdlife lying to and betraying everyone he could. Famously so. He was pretty much the least trusted man on the server, and for good reason. It wouldn't shock me if his plan was to betray Grian in the finale so he could win.

But Grian was his buddy. The only person who stayed at his side the entire time, even when he no longer had any obligation to. And I think that, after Scar killed Grian once, he realized that he didn't want to win like this.

I also think that realization changed how he behaved going forward. People say Scar and Grian make each other worse, but honestly, I think their relationship influenced Scar to be softer in some ways than he was before.

It's worth noting that Scar has become more loyal since Thirdlife. He's still full of tricks and he's very much not above telling lies. But I can't remember many times where Scar's betrayed teammates (minor allies maybe) since then, and even in Secret Life, when he was the villain of the server, he chose to fight Pearl- his closest ally of the finale- fairly rather than just cheaply killing her when they were the two left.

The Sea Prince, Act Two; Cover Reveal!

HELLOOOO <3 just a week left before act two begins- isn't that amazing?? i found it really surprising that it's so close from now :O! writing-wise, i'm almost at the midway point of act two, and the edits still need to go through chapter 5 onwards >:D

@mewhoismyself and i are very excited to bring you on this ride >:D it's been a change from how i wrote out act one, but the experience has really helped me a lot! <3
