How I feel about this character
I love him, your Honor. This is unfortunately my baby who is the biggest brat on the planet. He could have chosen literally any personality by which he could manipulate Frey into doing what he needed and he went with "whiny bitchy jewelry" and I love him for it. Character of all time tbh
All the people I ship romantically with this character
Frey. I am a multishipper at heart and I would likely be down for Cuff/Frey/Auden instead of the poly-v situation I usually write it as but like.... Cuff and Frey are a package deal to me. Cannot be separated. (I mean, they canonically cannot be separated but even if they could, they shouldn't be!!)
My non-romantic OTP for this character
I don't really know how to answer this. Is this like a brotp thing? Then I would say Olevia and also Auden.
My unpopular opinion about this character
I don't know if I have an unpopular opinion about him tbh. There's like 8 of us in the fandom, popularity is very hard to gauge. I don't know. I'll think about it.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.
I wish we'd got his full storyline ;__; You KNOW they were going to go the redemption route, you know that the whole thing about going to Rheddah would tell us more about his origins and how to free him from his wretched responsibility. We would get to see his love for Frey have so much power and maybe even hear him admit it.

my headcanon is that johnny is a second generation kid from korean immigrants to the US, and i imagine he was made to have piano lessons or something (pretty common childhood occurrence ime). i also like to imagine he was pretty good, maybe as an outlet that isn't beating someone's teeth in, or that it was just cool to be able to reproduce songs he liked without access to any "cooler" instruments.
and then he got kicked out of his household around 16-18 for violent/disrespectful behavior, so he stopped because pianos are kinda hard to come by and he had a reputation to maintain. but sometimes, maybe... when he sees a keyboard...
I voted in the FOB poll but I notice there are no new album lyrics in there 👀 (full disclosure I have been listening to it pretty much nonstop since it came out)
very true. I did a cold listen on the album but got distracted from it. "Love From the Other Side" fucks severely but nothing else has grabbed me yet.
also there's nothing from AB/AP either because outside "Centuries" (kinda) it doesn't really lean as hard on directing bullets right at the audience.
... GODDAMMIT i should have included "I only wrote this down to make you press rewind/to send a message, I was young and a menace" because that one does have the FOB/Listener dark romance vibes.
I’m reading through this and this is a staggering amount of work and very fun. I made “hm!” noises a couple of times reading through the aspects and classes and thinking about this in relationship to myself (without canon knowledge!) is super interesting

Visiting Leblanc was normally the highlight of Akechi’s week, admittedly for reasons that stretched beyond the comforting aroma of coffee and curry, and met more to the appeal that was Akira Kurusu.
It had been a long time since Akechi had honestly enjoyed the company of someone else so much, and it certainly didn’t hurt that the dark-haired boy was attractive by many conventions- from his Shujin uniform, to the normally grubby apron of his work, Akechi was beginning to grow convinced that Akira could pull off a variant of outfits.
With the sight that greeted him upon entering Leblanc’s door, Akechi began to consider adding another look to that list.
What had instantly came to mind upon setting sights on the boy sat by the counter had been the famed saying ‘they could pull off a potato sack’. Up until that moment, Akechi had struggled to truly understand what was meant by the saying, but now he felt perhaps he understood.
The moment the bell above Leblanc’s door had chimed, Akira turned to him and greeted him with a soft smile, but all Akechi could focus on was the hideous sweater Akira was wearing.
Vibrant red, decorated with tacky green tinsel that glittered with his every movement, in-built lights flashing obnoxiously, illuminating the text ‘Meowy Christmas!’, perfectly matched with the tinsel collar and cuffs.
And yet somehow, he still made it look good.
But the poor choice in clothing did made Akechi second-guess his own judgement in attraction, so he supposed there was that.
Finally registering Akira had welcomed hi, Akechi tried to force the image of the sweater to the back of his mind, to give some sort of casual, pleasant greeting…
“I, uh, like your sweater?” Really?!
He ignored Loki’s snickers ringing in his head. Robin’s fond chuckle.
Instead, he focused on the pleasantly surprised flush to Akira’s face, the amusement in his eyes as he regarded Akechi.
“This is an ugly sweater contest.” He quirked an eyebrow, Akechi’s fluster worsened at the words.
“O-oh? Well it is rather….original.” Almost cringing at his own word choice (where was the charming Detective Prince Goro Akechi when you needed him?!), Akechi almost missed the small smile of pride as he glanced down at his sweater.
“I added the tinsel myself, the tackier the better- right?”
He could help the small laugh that escaped him, it truly was a move only Akira would make- to worsen the already tacky jumper then take pride in that.
“Which reminds me, I have something for you.”
Akechi’s head snapped to attention at the words, his heart beat racing in his chest as the saw the neatly-wrapped gift now held in Akira’s outstretched hands, complete with a scarlet red bow. The wrapping was tasteful, a total contrast to Akira’s jumper.
Trying to hide the shaking of his hands, Akechi took the present, feeling quite lost for words. Akira must have noticed, as he only smiled understandingly, before gesturing to the gift.
“Go on then, unwrap it.”
He didn’t need telling twice, reaching for the bow, unable to contain his curiosity…and excitement.
The wrapping paper lay abandoned on the floor, forgotten, in contrast to the piece of clothing in Akechi’s hands, Akira’s laughter now uncontained, as he stared in unmasked horror at his gifted hoodie.
The first thing he noticed, was the shining badge of tinsel on the left breast, linings of what normally was sophisticated black and neat tims of white linen now covered in colour-corresponding glitter. Staring at it, the design couldn’t be more obvious to Akechi.
It was based off his own Detective uniform.
Akira’s laugher had finally calmed, now only breathy giggles every now and then. He grinned at Akechi, looking like the cat who got the cream.
“Now we have matching tacky jumpers!”
Akira’s smile couldn’t be wider, any more brilliant, and Akechi couldn’t help but find himself reciprocating, holding that god-awful hoodie just a bit closer.
if i can’t choose beach yoga (which i can’t i can’t do beach yoga for every answer) then it’s definitely rage daughter, feed your anger like fire. writing something like rage daughter is something i’ve wanted to do for a long long time and finally feeling like i’m at a place where i can craft the words with the skill and precision they need to have the impact i want is such a good nice feeling
