I think my biggest issue with activism today is this weird performative activism. Making and selling patches for movements they apparently never researched in the time they sold them, calling people disgusting for holding opinions that while you disagree with them aren't a moral argument, trying to be the Most Oppressed person in the world and getting angry when other people want to talk about their own issues in their own spaces. That weird need to comment on issues that have nothing to do with them or very publicly Make Official Statements on things that don't affect them and aren't about them. Things aren't so black and white and people are so caught up in the trappings of social justice and appearing "pure and unproblematic" that they avoid looking into what's happening and just go with the majority opinion on the issue.

Even disabled activism is turning into "look at my cool selfie with a mobility aid, I'm disabled" and doesn't work on pushing our humanity. It's like the 'grammable version of inspiration porn and ties into this weird performative activism... Thing.
