The Greatest Showman sing along may possibly have been the best experience I have ever had, or at least one of the best experiences. Everyone was up and moving, clapping, chanting "cheerio" to Jenny Lind because EVERYONE hated her (people booed and insulted her, me included. It was hilarious.), there were two people in my row DRESSED IN THE RINGMASTER OUTFITS CANE ET AL. Even I, with all my insecurities, doubt and anxiety, joked around with random people, stood up, clapped, sang my FUCKING HEART OUT AND DIDN'T GIVE A FUCK. There was also a guy and a girl behind me who were BEAUTIFULLY talented and added little lilts to the end of certain notes that added to everything. EVERYONE loved it. And after the film was finished, EVERYONE stayed, chatted with random moviegoers, sung and danced to the credits when they played "This Is Me" & "Rewrite The Stars". Nobody really WANTED to leave. Including me. I don't think I've ever felt more connected to a randomly assorted group of people than just immediately harmonizing and syncing rhythm with the people at Cineworld. The fact I was in the front row helped the enjoyment. Because you knew immediately those were the fucking DEDICATED ones. There was a group of random women next to me who knew damn near all of the DIALOGUE off by heart. I don't know what more to say about it, really. I kinda hope some random person who went to it sees this, cause there was NO sadness in that crowd. Just pure fucking unadulterated fun. If it happens again somehow, you're damn right I'm buying another ticket.
