Judai: *senses something is going wrong*
Also Judai: This is my fault. It's always my fault. I need to leave so my friends don't get involved.

No but those last posts are something ice been thinking abt a bit today too because like. You have to understand how to curate your own experiences. Yes trigger warnings are important for certain situations, but if you're going to consume media depicting violence or horror or whatever, don't get upset when those things are in there. Like the whole maus thing from the last post. People seriously read a book about the Holocaust and then were upset because it.... had upsetting content in it? Like, do you want people to pretend like there's anything palatable about genocide?
It's just baffling to me. Stories about dark subjects should not have to try and make themselves palatable, ESPECIALLY when said story is a depiction of actual real-life horrors. There's no way to make life palatable, and art imitates life, and life imitates art, and so on and so on. If you ('you' meaning people who, yknow, don't have generational trauma caused by the holocaust. Goyim, basically) can't handle reading a graphic novel about the holocaust without getting upset about the content, you have missed the point. It's SUPPOSED to be upsetting, it's the fucking holocaust. And if you're going to read it, you might want to already know what it's about before hand? It's not like its a secret, and like. Book descriptions and genres exist for a reason. Same for TV, movies, books, audio books, games, etc. etc.
Just remember, if you're consuming media with dark, upsetting subjects, and you feel upset by it, congrats, the media did its job. You have the capacity to feel sympathy and compassion for other living things, even if those living things are fictional characters. That's not a failing on anyone's part, especially not the creators. If you're mad because you played a horror game or read a memoir about being on the war front or whatever and it successfully made you feel emotions? That's on you, dawg. Learn to take responsibility for your own media consumption
André being André…
Another thing that really fascinates and also upsets me about Polina is her friendship with Nadya Alliluyeva bc she clearly cared a lot about Nadya but she also frankly did her dirty both in life and after her death and like...I’m conflicted about it and I also think Polina probably was too.
