Nah, i didn’t mean the shippers, i meant the scarily large contingent of people who, every time a new female cast member is announced, are certain she will be Reid’s love interest and are determined to hate and eviscerate her and the actress for it before they even know her name.

The best one was Alex tbh, they introduced a woman 20 years his senior and were convinced the writers were going to have them in a romance. I think that’s probably unlikely on network TV, especially considering it’s an older woman and younger man. The other way around, not uncommon. But yeah. 

And also that time paula abdul visited the set in season 8 and people went on a day long viscous hate parade over her because they thought she was going to be Maeve. 

if it wasn’t so upsetting seeing people tear at her for existing, it would have been funny.
