Some more narrachara musings
I just had a thought, if the ball in the ball game in undertale represents high-level determination i. e. the red soul, does that mean the other flag-colors’ descriptions illustrate the relationship between the previous souls and narrachara?
We know there is a tug-o-war between Frisk and Chara depending on the player’s choices, because Chara and Frisk have the same type of soul so the split is 50/50, but I wonder if the flag descriptions demonstrates the ratio for the other kids.
All humans have more DT than monsters, but the levels are different, and none of the other kids could survive Asgore. Chara's determination is the key to that survival, so if the others couldn’t work with Chara, maybe that’s why they had their souls taken.
Substituting “ball” for “Chara” is interesting is all I’m saying.
(if so, the souls would also already know how to exorcise a soulless child, so maybe escaping Flowey is easier because of it?)
There's more actually- the level of the various values Chara had, might also explain how long they stayed with each child before being exorcised - and explain why the humans' items are scattered everywhere in the Underground.
Chara stayed with the yellow soul the longest because, after general determination, their most dominant trait is a sense of justice, of accepting the consequences of your own actions.
Their least dominant traits are patience (they are quick to rush Frisk when they overcheck and they wade through puzzles as soon as they're in charge) and bravery ('flee' is the only option with 'I' prompts) then integrity and perseverance are about equal and kindness and justice are on the higher end.
You do need all traits to have a red soul after all.
