ok so to sell the idea some more: "what if kinger didnt accidentally kill our boy?" caine gets just put on energy saving mode for a bit as the gang debates on what to do with him. they end up putting him (back) in a box to talk to and hopefully redeem him. kinger feels insanely guilty and insists on trying to fix caine.

it's basically @iamespecters Mundane Digital Rehabilitation AU (fukin love that comic) exept instead of a Showtime focus I'm obsessed with the family drama of Kinger and his AI son. (there might be some background abstragedy)

Xie Zheng being married to Fan Changyu is like a Schrödinger's cat situation where he totally considers them married, in that he can give her medical care and no one else better touch her and she should wait for him to come back, but they are also very much NOT married enough in his mind so he's gonna have to marry her again under his real name (and at least in the novel they cannot have sex that would be wrong, not married enough)
