Dacre was doing his job, and he spoke up when the Duffers should have listened to Caleb about being uncomfortable with making one of their characters call another character a slur.
Blaming the fans and the actors instead of turning your attention towards the writers and their series of questionable decisions both behind the scenes and on-screen...
We are not the writers.
Using a character as a shield/excuse for ableism, fatphobia, and racism is never a flex. You are, in fact, worse than the fictional character you've dedicated your time and your energy to... *checks notes* holding that fictional character/a bunch of strangers on the internet accountable. You're a real-life bully. What you're doing will always be worse than whatever a fictional character did.
Billy is not real. You are real. Your behavior has real-life consequences.
