how on earth did sjm manage to get a book with faerie porn, a toxic male love interest that snarls and "turns utterly still" half of the time, a female main protagonist that is the total opposite of feminist and very useless when it comes to ruling, a group of toxic friends with a shit name for their group - all adapted into a tv series?
and how on earth did she think it was going to work? hybern is equivalent to a children's villain with no depth whatsoever, the world building is all over the place (I still don't get the 'Harp' thing), her good characters are tossed aside and done dirty. She's obssesed with making all her female characters a next level warrior too.
like I'm seriously confused because what is there even to adapt? are the characters gonna fuck the whole episode and then "oh my god, bad guy is here!" in the last few minutes? and if sjm is writing the pilot things are not looking good. This whole idea is already failing because there was never anything good to begin with.
