Seth flying back to his hometown with Kevin in tow is a surreal experience that he doesn't think he wants to experience again. (He is sure his new therapist will have a field day with him and this new facet of his emotional constipation)
They made the agreement that their relationship would remain under wraps for the trip. Seth wasn't sure if he had it in him to come out to his family, and Kevin was concerned in general of what it meant for his public appearance.
At the airport he was greeted by the brother of his that is getting married, Jeremy. Kevin immediately dislikes him, when Jeremy calls Seth "Bryan" and loudly inquires on where "your hot girl is"
Seth explains vaguely that Allison and he aren't to together and instead Kevin is tagging along (as a friend... yeah sure). So then, the conversation becomes all about Exy. Not that Kevin minds, but the way Jeremy immediately ignores Seth after recognizing Kevin rubs him the wrong way.
Driving back to the their childhood home gives Seth & Kevin the opportunity to meet Jeremy's fiancee: Sabrina.
Sabrina is bright woman with a wide smile and a loud laugh, and Seth cannot believe she wants to marry his asshole of a brother. She asks Kevin for his autograph because her little sister plays Exy and loves him
So far, Seth doesn't know what to think. He is surprised that he has gotten this far without arguing with someone, whether it be Kevin or Jeremy, but he hasn't let his guard down yet
The next few days are similarly strange, his five other brothers are still filtering into town
Jamie Gordon doesn't bother saying hello to Seth, but he never liked Seth for whatever reason. But Seth can't recall something he did in particular to lose Jamie's favor
Alec Gordon, lacrosse player extraordinaire, has yet to make insulting comments about Exy and the Foxes. But Seth knows it is coming (Seth has no idea how Kevin will cope talking to that man)
Steven Gordon is too busy giving Jeremy shit for the wedding venue to pay attention to his little brother. (Seth also thinks that Steven had been looking at Sabrina a bit too much for comfort)
Jesse Gordon is acting suspiciously nice, considering that he would always gang up on Seth and Jamie with the rest of his brothers. Jesse, only second to Alec, had always been the most aggressive.
Lucas Gordon is late to everything, so Seth doubts that he will be here until the day-of the wedding.
Kevin knows what it is like to live in a malicious environment, but this isn't malicious, it is stagnant. He keeps looking to Seth, but he sees a man who is bracing for a bomb to go off.
Kevin doesn't mind any of Seth's brothers so far. Even though Jeremy had lost points (It baffles him that someone that shares a name with someone like Jeremy Knox could be this irritating. Crazy)

Stretch puts suction cups on his ribs where nipples would be. Asks Edge if he thinks it's cold in here.
Stretch leaned against the counter in the kitchen, his hands casually shoved in the pockets of his shorts–since he had currently shed his usual orange hoodie in favor of his black tanktop.
Edge stood beside him, furiously punching tomatoes with his fists to make his sauce. That was new; usually, he conjured a bone to pound them into pulp. He must be irritated.
Stretch smirked. His sucker clicked against his teeth as he shifted it from one side of his mouth to the next. He expected Edge to acknowledge his presence, but the edgy skeleton was pointedly ignoring him.
“hey,” Stretch finally drawled, tilting his skull back against the cabinets. Edge didn’t even grunt in his direction, but Stretch noticed the next punch was more forceful than the others; he was surprised it didn’t crack the counter. He waited a little longer, the passing moments punctuated by the loud whack/splat combination of bone pummeling ingredients. A bit of tomato speckled Stretch’s exposed arm.
“hey, edge.” The other’s eyesockets narrowed even more than usual. “hey, is it cold in here?” No response. More pummeling.
Whack. Whack.
“it feels cold in here to me.”
Whack.
“c’mon, buddy. are you givin’ me the cold shoulder? heh.”
CRACK!
Whoops, the counter broke. Stretch doesn’t even flinch, chuckling instead. Edge finally whirls around to face him, fury vibrating through his bones.
“I SWEAR TO ASGORE, YOU’RE SUCH AN IMBECILE!! IF YOU’RE COLD, GO PUT ON THAT HOODIE THAT REEKS OF SMOKE AND SHA–”
Edge’s eyelights shift down to the other’s chest, and Stretch arches his back, his grin turning positively shit-eating. “were you gonna say shame, edgy? ‘cause that’s not somethin’ i really have.”
Edge releases an inarticulate scream before picking up the closest thing to him–the skin of a tomato–and chunking it straight at Stretch.
MISS.
The prankster leans his head to the right, and the peel slams into the cabinet behind him, slowly sliding down and leaving a streak of red.
“didn’t mean to get’cha seeing red, pal.”
And then Stretch winks and teleports away to the sounds of Edge destroying the kitchen.

There are a lot of really talented people in phandom and I’m sure a lot of compassionate people, too - but phandom really does not have a good showing when it comes to charity stuff that isn’t directly being done by Dan and Phil.
