not sure if you've seen the latest Collider interview clip with Juliette, Simone and Tawny, but towards the end of it they're talking about scene partners and Juliette was saying how her and Simone were able to be "intimate in space" and she says "that's the kid history of the woods I feel like they had a cross (not sure what word she says here) of many things" regarding Lottienat, really hoping we get to see more teen Lottienat in the last 3 eps.. also I think Simone was saying there was a take in ep 5 where they had a forehead touch?? (she kept getting cut off haha, but I think that's what she was getting at)

Dude. I just can’t understand what angle the show is playing here. Because it’s queerbaiting– we all know that the chances of them actually making them canon are slim. However. What the fuck are they doing?
If I were a non-fandom person casually watching this show with no inkling of queer subtext, even I would be like, what the fuck is going on here? This isn’t fandom goggle views. 911 is using baseline, direct romantic tropes in the scenes between the two of them. Not only that, but they’re using a kid as a huge relationship play. If Buck were a woman, this would be the plot to a Lifetime movie. There would be zero question on the direction they were taking this plotline in. They’re using kids, separation, communication troubles, and protective instinct tropes in back to back to back episodes– all tropes with incredibly romantic subtexts and I’m????
I’m baffled (impressed? horrified? floored?) about how far and direct they are taking this ship.
