HE DIDN’T expect things to escalate as quickly as they did. He usually wasn’t the type to just SLEEP with someone based on baseline attraction, but Joey was a good guy. THEY’RE close now. They’ve been hanging out nonstop since they met. It wasn’t like they weren’t FRIENDS, but he was NOT expecting to wake up NAKED with him. And it wasn’t like they were anything more than the tiniest bit tipsy. This was completely of their own volition.
It started with a SIMPLE kiss. Playful in the heat of the moment. But as it turns out A KISS was all it took. HE SITS up now, rubbing his eyes and studying Joey for a second. EVEN NOW, he’s not displeased. HE’S NOT EVEN WORRIED. They’d talked about being as close as they were. Joey had already MENTIONED something about really appreciating him. ABOUT how KARTER WAS HIS BEST FRIEND.
NORMALLY these kinds of things didn’t pan out HAPPILY for him. But there’s NOTHING weird about this to him. He studies the other man for a moment, SLIDING back under the covers and deciding PERHAPS he should test it for himself. SEE what became of this little night together. He’s gingerly in his actions, finding his way into JOEY’S embrace before shutting his eyes softly.
THIS FELT RIGHT.
He breathes softly. hearing Joey hum softly he turns his head RESTING his head on Joey’s chest for a second before just WAITING to hear what he says for half a second before he sits up a little, JOEY’S hand still interlocked with his own ( HE WASN’T LETTING GO ). He cracks a small grin finally, SPEAKING softly as he does.
“Mornin’ t’you too.”
PERHAPS this wouldn’t be all that bad. NORMALLY he would’ve worried about falling into bed with someone so close to him, BUT JOEY hadn’t given him any sign of reason to WORRY so instead he lays back down, SMILING lightly to Joey’s warm embrace. And all he could think of in that moment was a singular thought.
‘I could stay here forever.’
