yiming phones siyu and she treats him like an annoying child that just asked her “look at what i can do!” before doing a cartwheel, just like another thing to deal with, while he just wanted to invite her to eat at his place. cruel
then he tells her “look i’m depressed, i will take some time off the job hunt to clear my head” and she says “no you have to rise and grind baby otherwise you’ll get nothing from life” which is exactly yiming’s issue right there. and of course the convo stills because no way we can talk about anything that isn’t siyu. so yiming asks about siyu’s problems, and she goes “well i can’t be with you because i have my job to do”. fuck. existential horror right there.
and like yeah i get what siyu’s feeling because being with a clingy person you don’t want to be with is exhausting, but jesus christ have the decency to break up with them then! you’re reaping all the benefits of having a boyfriend while doing none of the work, and on top of that you’re resenting him because he’s got the aUdAcItY of gently asking (asking, not demanding) you comfort him once in a while. baby it’s YOU who’re insisting you’re bf and gf, you can’t get mad at him for wanting you to act like a gf to him.
