I think I just experienced the first true sign that the world is ending!
Since I woke up early this morning (unintentionally), I figured I’d run out and pick up some donuts for breakfast.
Walked up to the counter inside my local Dunkin Donuts to order a half dozen of my favorite donut: the Chocolate Creme. Only to be told the worst possible news anyone could ever tell me, the chocolate creme donut has been discontinued!
Seriously, what the fuck?! That was always one of the top sellers around here. Why get rid of it! And why couldn’t you at least wait until after my birthday!
I’m hoping I am just stuck in a nightmare at the moment and this is not actually true. Maybe it’s just this one franchisee that doesn’t offer them anymore (though like most North Texas locations, this particular franchise is owned by Jerry Jones and Troy Aikman, so I doubt it was their decision). Possibly it could just be a seasonal choice and it will return soon.
If this is some conspiracy to get me to start some kind of diet and lose a few pounds, you are sadly mistaken. You have seriously underestimated my hunger and extreme laziness!
Whatever the real reason may be, I’m going to need some time for mourning.
