THEORIES ABOUT AVA ARE ACTUALLY MAKING MY HEAD EXPLODE
okay so this doesn't have much to do with the world building of the series this time but, I think it is definitely a theory worth sharing.
Ive been thinking a lot about RocketCorp - the facility, the atmosphere, the employees, everything. Especially the clone workers, which I think is rather ominous too.
Why is the facility so isolated? Why is it so restricted? Why is it so far away from civilization? And most importantly...what's it for now?
Well, there are a few theories concerning RocketCorp - too few, in fact, which is why I really need to dig in deeper about this company. Let's start with a basic timeline (which is very important for this analysis).
2007 - So, as all us AvA fans probably know by now, RocketCorp started off as a cute little tech and fix-it shop, founded by Victim and Mitsi in the eleventh episode after Victim fixes the little village's windmill.
I'm not 100% sure why Victim and Mitsi decided to start this business - as far as I can tell, life was nice and peaceful before they foundedd RocketCorp. My money's on because they cared about the economy and so the civilians could make a living.
Anyways, in just the span of four years, the little shop eventually grew into a greater, more popular business and job site, with Mitsi standing proud as CEO and Victim at her side.
2011 - The collapse, the disappearance, and the devastation that came with the Newgrounds attack also brought grief and mourning to RocketCorp and probably the rest of the town - the death of Mitsi.
At this point, Victim completely drowns in grief. Not only did he lose his Mitsi, his right hand, but he lost himself too, eventually being so enraged by grief that he vows to hunt down the people who took everything from him.
Aaaand here's where my theory comes in finally. I'm just gonna dive right in.
So we know that the two hollow headed stick figures who terrorized the Internet - the Chosen One and the Dark Lord - look incredibly similar to their estranged brother, Victim.
It doesn't take long for a whole bunch of people to figure that out, doesn't it? Word spreads fast...and all of a sudden, Victim was the bad guy.
Again, this is just an extremely far-fetched theory, so, prove me wrong at this. But.
What if everyone - stick figures, animations, etc - are actually now afraid of Victim.
I don't mean they fear him or respect him as their authority or boss - I mean cold, spine-chilling shivering fear whenever his name is mentioned.
Why do I say this? Well, simply put, all four of the hollow heads look very similar. And reputation-destroying rumors spread fast.
Stick figures across the Outernet could easily assume Victim had something to do with the Newgrounds attack - and fearing this, people left him. Employees, apprentices, everyone, left RocketCorp. All except for two: Agent and that one gray worker. (Oh, and Mitsi's sheep.)
This could be the reason these ↓ stick figures don't talk to the CG - because they lost their trust in people who look different from them.
Eventually, RocketCorp shut its doors.
Victim shut his doors.
There's more to Victim's anger than grief. He's angry, enraged, one might say hateful, at the entire world; for distrusting and leaving him when he needed them most, when he needed people to help him in his grief after losing Mitsi. So, he eventually lost trust in everyone and shut himself out completely.
In this time, he concocted a plan to get back at the Animator and the Chosen One for what they'd done to him.
But, what if, it's not just revenge? What if it's a way to prove himself to the people of the Outernet that he, in fact, can be trusted. What if it's a way to prove that he had nothing to do with the Newgrounds attack? What if it's a way to clear is name - in fact, what if it's a way to change his name completely?
So, in short:
RocketCorp exists as a business not only to build Victim's revenge against the Animator and The Chosen One and get Mitsi back, but also to rebuild his reputation back up as the trusted stick figure everyone once knew.
Again, this is extremely far-fetched and I could be overthinking this, but it makes sense. And if it goes the way I think it's going, then I fear this could end very badly.
