To the people out there who anti-trf I am going to hold your hand as I say this. You have got to get less transmisogynistic. You need to. You simply must. Do you know how it feels as a trans woman to read all the comments on most anti-trf posts and see responses like "we get it lily/lilith/alice/luna" or whatever other common transfem names you hear. That is the same exact thing as when they make fun of names like kai or jake or jax. Also no more "it's always anime girl pfps" like. You can call out bad people without making fun of their interests? And stereotyping isn't cool either. Same thing goes with the "go on her blog and search 'sister' or 'tme'" about every. Single. Fucking. Trans woman. Like I know some trans women can be pieces of shit but so can anyone else. You do not need to stereotype us and ridicule our interests even if you don't like is though. Even if a trans man said some shit to me like "all of you trans women are just the same and I don't trust you for calling yourself a transfeminist" I wouldn't be like "okay jake, im gonna search forcemasc on yoir blog". Do you see how insane that sounds???? We can combat transandrophobia in better ways than stereotyping trans women, I guarantee you.

I am going to need you all to start respecting people with PMOS (formerly PCOS) right now.

This is a diagnosis that has been forced into the binary category of a “girly girl afab female uterus boob haver” condition and you are taking the bait hook line and sinker.

Many times PMOS is diagnosed to hide other conditions and variations. It is seen as “less distressing”. Ovotestes, chromosome variation, hormonal profile, all explained away as a more “acceptable” condition to have.

Leaning into the cissexist and intersexist way PMOS id talked about tells me that you don’t see peoppe with PMOS as anything other than a chubby white cis binary woman with chin hair and acne.

Trans women, trans men, transmascs, transfems, non binary people, etc. can all get PMOS.

Welcome to this-is-intertransmisogyny!! I'm Mod Vi (it/its), same as from @vinterfeminism. I am an intersex trans woman who is a frequent target of intertransmisogyny and I see a whoooole lot of it on tumblr so I wanted to address that. On Vinterfeminism I also call out intermisogyny, but intertransmisogyny is different and is also severely downplayed on this website by just about everyone, even some supposed "intersex allies" unfortunately. I am here to address this in a critical yet informative way to help people be less bigoted going forward. Also yes I will still be using Vinterfeminism don't worry!!!

Beliefs (may add more to this over time):

Agab/Asab are intersexist, transphobic, and exorsexist. They are also irrelevant and do not dictate a person's lived experiences nor what gender they can be. I personally used socialized as a boy/girl if I must, or inconsistent gender socialization like I experienced. TMA/TME is also the same and is just a reducive binary that doesn't properly address the way that transmisogyny can affect more than just transfeminine people or "amab" trans people. Transandrophobia is real but I have noticed that many of you very much need to check your transmisogyny and intersexism, so please keep that in mind!! Anti-radqueer and anti-transid. You also can't transition into being intersex, being intersex is something you are born as. Another point that I talk more about on Vinterfeminism, but I am VERY pro-kink and pro-fiction (but also VERY anti-contact!!!) and this will not be a safe space for antis or harassment for people safely exploring and engaging with kink, fetish, and sex. Free Palestine but also fuck antisemites, and double fuck you if you hide your antisemitism behind opposing the genocide in Gaza. You can be for a free Palestine and an anti-Zionist while also loving Jewish people and culture and valuing them the same as any other person. Also racists fuck off. I'm not gonna let racism slide around here.

I have seen this and it is such bullshit to see how intersex people with PMOS get treated. While it isn't exactly the same for me, I get similar doubts about me being an intersex trans woman cause my intersex variation isn't widely considered intersex at all. I'll even get some hobbyless radfems on here like "ermmm you can't call yourself intersex just because you're short and had a weird puberty!!" when it's soooo much more than that

Okay so 🙏 that's one of my irl friends (NOT op, the person in the screenshot, Skail/Ajax). And here's the thing. She was born with a vagina but had it closed as an infant because fae was forcibly assigned into being a boy? Like given a masculine now-deadname and parents originally used he/him and still hasn't changed pups legal gender. Which I feel like could be obvious for an intersex person? It and I actually have the same intersex condition so I expect the same for myself honestly after us talking. But I only became a trans woman more recently and Skail came out as a trans girl at 13 before they even KNEW that they were intersex or even realized they didn't have "typical" genitalia (since we have talked and both have ambiguous genitalia). Infinte killing of intersexists holy shit.

The intersexism really is quite apparent when intersexist perisex people decide whether or not they want to treat me like a trans woman depending on if I agree with them or not. There are so many "TMA baeddel transandrocunt killer" type TRFs who would treat me like a trans woman if they saw my non-discourse blog or knew me irl that immediately pivot to lying and saying I am a cis girl who just wants to be special online if they disagree with me since they cannot possibly understand the fact that the reason I disagree with them is because they're intersexist so of course as an intersex trans woman, why would I agree with them? It gets even more in the weeds if they happen to see posts where I talk about the IGM that I experienced as an infant since my urethra was likely moved and I likely used to have a vagina that was later closed. And the doctors evidently did a shitty as hell job because I still have an indent or shallow hole in the places where each one was and after I started going on estrogen, parts of my groin started reacting in ways that vaginal tissue may according to an intersex friend I have talked to. And a bunch of the TRFs who read that automatically decide that they know everything about me and know I was afab even though I am agabless and was raised as a boy for the first 13-14 or so years of my life, but upon the forced HRT I went on and me telling my parents I wanted to be a woman, they used that as an excuse to hard pivot into making me as feminine as people and essentially treating me like a cis girl and trying to lie so anyone who didn't know me before would always think I had been a girl. After all, my voice could fit the bill even if it was a bit deep. It really is baffling to me that people are so blind to their intersexism that they treat me like a "real" trans woman or not depending on if they like what I have to say or not, and this goes for people who supposedly are on my side of discourse too but happen to dislike me for other reasons. Truly baffling.

intertransmisogyny is erasure of how transfems are affected by reproductive rights issues related to the ability to get pregnant.

there are trans women and transfems with uteruses. there are trans women and transfems who can get pregnant and face all related discrimination.

but also, reproductive rights issues have broader effects than direct access to birth control and abortions (it is a central thing, but it’s not the only one). the recent case i know, how after abortion bans in some places people faced problems with getting methotrexate (a cytostatic drug that is used to treat autoimmune disorders and some cancers) because it can possibly affect the fetus if these people were possibly pregnant. it were all people assumed to have a theoretical ability to be pregnant. and some transfems, regardless of having uterus, ovaries, ovarian tubes, vaginas, etc.—can be assumed to have this ability and denied medication.

i’m not trying to say that any trans or intersex people should be decentered from the conversation about reproductive rights. i think all flavours of genderqueer and sex-variant people should be centered. it’s important to not equate abortions, uterine and vaginal care, etc. to “women’s issues.”

i’m still upset with the idea that “trans woman or transfem person = no uterus.” and i’m upset with the lack of recognition of other effects of reproductive coersion beyond direct access to abortions, contraception, and other stuff.

Thank you thank you thank you!!!! I've been trying to say this!!!! Yeah people need to stop assuming the anatomy of trans women based on our identity immediately. Like if I tell people I am a trans woman, they will make incorrect assumptions about me cause im intersex, right? I don't have a uterus (to my knowledge) but I was most likely born with a vagina and still do have ambiguous genitalia like. People would assume that that wasn't the case though bc I am a trans woman. Literally I have talked about wanting to get a packer before and people have been like "why? you already have a dick" like they knew so definitively even though they were random people online. Stop assuming trans women's anatomy and include us in talks about reproductive rights!!!
