Rick loves Jerry being unemployed for the same reason people like having pet fish. It just feels good to have something around that you only need to check on every once in a while to keep them alive but otherwise can interact with whenever you want.

Rick and Jerry 100 years or maybe actually for 15 minutes of an episode before I say something sappy and then abandon you in the kitchen so I can go get drunk. Same time next week?
