I dont understand that thing about "sefies" )):
i guess you mean the promo thing? really, it's just a way of promoting your blog. when you send in your selfies, the followers from the person you sent the selfie (you could also say self promote, if that makes it easier to understand) to will see your blog and the chances of getting new followers is higher :)
