what kind of “ i love you ” are you ?
love you … it's the "i love you" we use every time we finish up a call with our mom, every time we want to offer our friends a bit of encouragement, the welcome home kiss on the cheek we give our lover every day. it's sending them pictures you know they'll laugh at, buying them strange little nothings that you know they'll like. it's having their bagel order memorized and setting their birthday as your password. somehow, their name weaves its way into almost every funny story you share with others. it's brief, casual, it's a habit. we aren't even aware we do it. it says that love is cradled lightly in your heart, generously given, spilling out into the world unbeknownst to you, making up the web of delicate threads that hold us all together.

Another restless night. 4:14 A.M in the morning, a nice hot cup of coffee on a little coaster beside her laptop, a little bowl filled with noodles and... raw beef chunks, and a youtube video featuring her favorite content creator.
On nights like these, Ash chooses to either go on walks or just sit and stare at her computer screen until the daylight comes back. She only ever sleeps once every two or three days thanks to her bizarre sleep schedule, and spends a lot of time educating herself on current events, playing games, or catching up on some of her favorite anime or manga. Tonight, however, she decided to catch up on a couple of Nic’s videos, since she hadn’t been able to in the past few days thanks to a certain other hooligan.
However, on the last, most recent video she decides to click on, she realizes that the thumbnail features a game that she, herself, had personally recommended to her last time they met.
Her eyes light up, and without realizing it she leans forward into the screen and starts to smile. Then giggle. Then laugh.
“ She called me lovely... “ Color her flustered, but that statement and the fact that she was playing one of her own recommendations just made her entire night.

Seiros is silent for the few moments it takes to process his request. The request itself isn’t anything special or unusual — quite common really — but now it was Byleth who was asking and she can hardly wrap her mind around that. From the first moment that he had stepped foot in the monastery, it had been clear Jeralt had failed to properly educate his child about the church and its Goddess, that it was by Her will and generous bounty that humanity is allowed to flourish, and, while not ideal, she had just been glad enough that he had returned to her at all. Whether Byleth was devoted to the faith or not was ultimately irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.
But now she finds it difficult to rid herself of the hope clawing its way between her ribs.
She allows her eyes to soften and the warmth that spreads through her chest is neither fake nor imagined. “ I take no offense at all. Indeed, the fact that you are willing to take this step brings me great joy. ” Seiros almost doesn’t recognize her own voice, the sincerity that carries her words and the gentle lilt that lifts them up. Her smile is like the first beams of sunlight at dawn. “ Of course, professor. I would be most happy to pray with you. ”
Cue Claire falling asleep on Ga-I mean Frion's shoulder!
Truth be told, Frion was just as tired as Claire, if not more so. After a long day of playing Hide and Seek and Tag as well as dressing up with Princess Elise, he was exhausted. The moment he felt Claire's head grow heavier on his shoulder, he knew she had fallen asleep. With a yawn, he rest the side of his head against the top of hers. He had already begun to doze off and, once he actually shut his eyes for longer than three seconds, he fell right asleep. There, in the garden, where Elise would likely find them and wake them up. Until then, though, they could rest in peace.
