Alright so one of the ways we like to cope is by wearing certain outfits, and often different alters have specific clothes that make them feel more comfortable. Something I haven’t really talked about here is that there’s a specific alter who tends to be more active when I’m struggling with psychosis, she’s a fictional introject of Drusilla from btvs/ats, and obviously has a pretty particular sense of style. I’ve avoided talking about her because I’ve felt kind of ashamed of having her as an introject, but that shame isn’t healthy, and also I think at this point she’s important to talk about. Anyway, I’ve been having some difficult Brain Time the past few days and she’s been around. I recently got two new dresses for her, and I just went to try them on when I realized that I currently don’t have a mirror because my psychosis deemed my mirror Unsafe and I had my dad take it away. I love when coping mechanisms conflict with each other.
