Just a random thing.

A storm blew in last night, there was no warning, no signs of it approaching until it was too late. Chilling rain and wild wind fiercely attacked the coast. Two lovers ran hand-in-hand as fast as they could to shelter, fearing the intensity of the storm. But the storm was faster. In an instant the wind whipped around them, corralling them almost, before grasping the woman by her ankles and trying to drag her away. The man tried to hold on, tried to pull her into his arms but the storm wouldn't let up; icy, needle like water droplets struck the man and slid between the lovers hands, causing their grip to slip while the wind continued to pull. He begged the storm to stop, but his pleads were drowned out by thunder. What was most shocking about the situation, was that the woman had given up; she was no longer resisting the storm and instead, resisting him. Eventually, the storm won and the woman was carried away, her tears blending in with the rain as it hit her lovers face.

The sun rose behind dark clouds the next day. The air was still heavy from the storm, a grey hue fell on the battered land and the man lay there under debris, crushed by the aftermath with Death not granting him freedom. His only hope, was his only love, and the storm had carried her away.
