maekar is out here as the single father to an alcoholic failson who SEES the things, the make-targ-great-again sociopath with delusions of grandeur and a runaway egglet who forcibly adopts big clueless dude as his bestie, one daughter is tried to roofie the egglet, and another daughter who he swears is somewhere in the castle, whilst the most normal of his kids is the bookworm child on university scholarship who refuses to come home NO WONDER THE MAN AGES FASTER THAN HIS BROTHER

Spoilers for touchstarved demo
I genuinely believe by now that the main character twist for Leander is going to be him being some sort of very possessive or yandere archetype character, going solely from the interactions in the demo. I think this is his flaw that was scratched out on his character sheet. (As a side note I still think it's very possible he has some supernatural aspect too but I'm focusing solely on where I think his characterization might go)
Firstly, our first interaction with him. We are given 2 opportunities to refuse him, and both times he refuses to take no for an answer, once getting very threatening for a moment.
Second possessive streak, at the end in his route when you question him about the other LIs he explicitly discourages the player from pursuing them, speaking unfavorably even of characters we know from his relationship chart he likes.
I think the devs also hinted to this out of game. In their online quiz about which LI you should date, getting Leander will pull up a message like "don't try retaking this quiz".
I think we've been given a good reason for this darker streak too, he is kind of like the glue that holds this very disfunctional group of characters together, the tie they have in common. He's very charismatic and wants a close connection, but we see from the character sheet that while he has plenty of friends/acquaintances he hasn't actually managed to form a close bond with any of them, and I think that is eating away at him. It could be the case that he feels lonely, he feels desperate for something deeper, and he doesn't care what it takes to get that at this point.
