The worst part was listening to Kit try to blame Mark for their separation. He's so desperate and I wanted to feel for him but this was his doing. Mark never would have separated them! He would have stayed at Kit's side the entire time waiting for the scholarship! There was nothing of Mark in that choice.
Yes, Mark encouraged him to apply for the scholarship because he thought Kit wanted it.
But that does not justify the choices that he made.
This mishandling of their relationship is definitely the biggest misstep of the show. Because we all knew that ThanuYu was gonna be horrible and PokTong was going to be very minor but to take MarkKit and do... this?
You know what would have fixed it?
If Kit had actually had to to be long distance. Imagine if Kit had needed to travel for something regarding the scholarship, even if just to another area of Thailand. And Mark had to stay because of exams or whatever.
And then they had to be apart and they both hated it and Kit didn't even want to be there and Mark was miserable and then Kit came back to see about the scholarship and they had the same scene. Just imagine how much better that would be?
