Loid is close to Eden one day after a mission and decides to walk Anya home instead of her taking the bus. And he sees Damian and his lackeys bullying Anya, to the point where she’s crying. Loid is holding himself back, but he’s particularly distressed with the fact that they try and use his profession against her. And when they finally leave, she sits there for a minute and cries, telling herself that she can do better for him, and he feels awful. He changes his plan last minute and goes back home, absolutely enraged at the boys’ behavior and feeling terrible that she’s in that bad of a spot because of him. When Yor gets home, she asks him what’s wrong, and he just says he feels like something is off. And when Anya comes home, he has her sit down, and asks if anything happened at school. She says no- not convincingly. Yor asks if she’s sure, and she bursts into tears, telling them everything. They’re both furious, but Loid realizes this is a great opportunity for Operation STRIX to advance. After he calms Yor down about it and Anya gives her some much needed hugs, he suggests they hold a parent meeting. And Loid takes her into his lap for much of the evening, telling her that she’s a good girl and that he’s proud of her, until she falls asleep. And the next day, he disguises himself and is a little petty, scaring those boys for what they did to his little girl.
