IMAGINE LIKE,, PLANET THEMED NEOPRONOUNS
“hello“
"I've been waiting for you."
There sits Evelynn in her chair, in all of her glory ( and then some ) facing the shaded window. With her legs crossed, she does her best to seem aloof ; not like she was impatiently waiting for someone ( read: Akali ) to enter the room like they had planned earlier in the day. The poutiness in her voice, however, is unmistakable.
"Leaving a girl like me to wait all day," accompanied with a sigh, she extends a hand past the silhouette of the rather expensive recliner to be seen. Soon lashers follow, curling to create a heart shape idly as she continues. "I almost had to take care of business myself, darling."
When she finally turns in her chair, it is not Robin that she expects to see. What her golden gaze desires is the ever famed rapper of K/DA, not her poor, unsuspecting assistant who's certainly getting more than an eyeful of his boss -- something she's sure he never wanted to see.
"I missed yo-- Oh." Then falls a silence, so thick that even Evelynn struggles to swallow words down. This is certainly a perdicament.

"Really? You've genuinely never heard of an "updog" before? I'm shocked, Abel, and here I thought you were studied in human history."
"Mm, it is quite odd that I've never heard of such a thing before."
Robin's eyes crinkled at his demonic companion as they ambled down the polished corridor of their company building. Both were returning from a much needed coffee break after a tiresome, long, and meticulous meeting which had, unfortunately, lasted the entirety of their morning. Naturally Abel moved beside him with an air of silent confidence that Robin could almost feel in his bones, it was one of the more unsettling things about him. Abel always radiated this … thrumming intensity that Robin couldn't quite place, as though the demon was something long forgotten to him — strangely even moreso then his odd feelings towards Miss Evelynn. But that was besides the point.
Robin shot a sidelong glance at his colleague, expecting to see his handsome face framed by dark, slicked hair tucked neatly under a wide brimmed hat — but instead he was momentarily caught off guard. Abel's crimson gaze was practically burning into the side of his head, making Robin flinch involuntarily — a response he was less than pleased with. Still, despite the tension and Robin's indignant ( and, admittedly, rather childish ) huff, his eyes sparkled with a hint of humor once he realized his demonic friend was silently asking for answers from him. How cute.
"Now Abel, are you not going to ask me what it is?"
The taller of the two rolled his eyes and a upward curl of his lip showed the tips of sharp canines as he asked,
"I see, very well then. What is the meaning of this word, "updog"?"
Good. God.
"You … You are seriously making this difficult, Abel."
The two momentarily continued their way towards Miss Evelynn's office, which Robin had suggested earlier — now tentatively holding onto what must have been the most beautifully decorated pumpkin spice latte ever made by man. Robin had been quite thorough in his instructions to the poor barista; so much so that Abel thought he might start indulging in poetry to describe how the cinnamon should be artfully swirled into the frothy cream atop the espresso. Humans were such funny creatures. But soon Abel paused mid-stride, his brow furrowing as he finally considered Robin's words —
"Hm, I do apologize, is there another way you can explain it?"
The demon mused and pulled the wide-brimmed hat from his head to allow his inky black hair to cascade down like a night-kissed waterfall framing his handsome face. With a subtle, almost ritualistic shake, he settled into a more stable form, a blend of human and demon that had become familiar to him over the years. Obsidian horns curved towards the fluorescent lights above, forming from the longer locks of his hair and threading tight. Abel took a moment to tidy his appearance, brushing aside a rebellious strand of hair from his bangs, ever mindful and erring on the side of caution in his presentability, especially in the company of his human companion.
Abel let his red gaze return to said human, who looked like a flittering bird now lost in thought. Suddenly, Robin snapped his fingers and a delighted grin lit up his face and brought sparkles to his eyes. Enough so that the demon, somehow found his own softening as he watched; a fond smile even crept across his lips. You've not changed at all, have you, Pigeon? With that inquiry came something else, for Abel had changed. For some time he had noticed the changes occuring upon his person, and now was no different from any other one of those unexplainable moments. A long questioned and even longer unanswered warmth that filled his hollow chest again. It was an odd sensation that was beyond unfamilar to him. As such, he imagined he would never get an answer to it — after all, mere observation of humanity's behavior would not bring him all of the solutions he sought.
Other progress was even more difficult; he found that chances to engage in meaning interactions with others were far less than he had originally pictured. Self expression was ... not one of his stronger suits. After all, Abel held a sense of dignity throughout the community, he was a leader that many came too and practically sponsored every benefit that came into the town. To lead was to be alone, and such a pleasant reputation could not be tarnished by whatever internal storm brewed just beneath his calm demeanor. Even Evelynn seemed to have little explanation or care to do so. Perhaps that was part of it, simple satisfaction at having a … relaxed conversation with another. Robin was unguarded, and Abel felt little need to restrain from indulging in the witty banter of his almost faeish friend. A reckless, and seemingly unpurposeful, thought settled lightly on his mind:
What did this human think of him?
Hm, ever back to the conversation though and his human's happy little voice:
"Oh! Yes, of course, it's like a henway!"
" … I am unfortunately unfamiliar with that as well." Abel swept open the door to Robin's office, gesturing inside to which Robin entered without issue.
" - About four to fi — AHHHH!"
Time halted to a freeze when he laid eyes on Miss Evelynn splay-legged and unapologetically bare on her plush leather chair. The latte would have splattered onto the floor if Abel had not somehow managed to perfectly balanced the dropped latte atop his foot. Robin's hands had flown to his eyes and Abel's hand was quick to clasp over them. Robin gasped alongside the flurry of frantic thoughts spiraling through his mind, each vying for his attention before he finally blurted out a rather unceremonious, "What the fuck?" It was not the first time he had glimpsed her body, sure, but this? The scene seared into his memory like a branding iron and Robin was sure that this entire experience would surely stain his mind until he was laid to rest in his grave; and perhaps even then he would not be free from the horror!
Abel, on the other hand, simply rumbled, pleased due to the sudden burst of food he'd received from her lusty and lovey aura. And of course, the subsequent cocktail of shock and horror on her face, and the nearby metronome of anxiety which was Robin's thrumming heart. The demon lifted his free hand to his mouth, his chuckle dripped with sadistic amusement as he regarded Evelynn; his devilish tail even flicked with delight at the precarious situation, curling and uncurling like a serpent all while he leaned in and savored this moment.
"My, how uncouth," he purred with a voice like flame licking at the edges of a fire, mocking and mirroring her deep venomous charm. "Did the intern not tell you that Miss Akali already went home for the day? Hm~ It is truly a blessing that it is the two of us who entered here, and not one of our partners." he continued, the corners of his mouth curling upward in a sinister smile as his devilish tail continued to wag and swirl in gleeful abandon,
"Wouldn't you agree, Eve?"
"Ohhh my GOD, CAN YOU PLEASE JUST ESCORT ME OUT?"
"Ha! Also, Evelynn, do take your latte."

Hate having to get up early, cause it means having to go to bed early. And I am physically and psychologically incapable unless I've pre-conditioned my circadian rhythms which takes like a week.
