What is your favorite part about the KK intl. intern program?
The relationships I have been able to build with the other interns along with the staff. It feels good knowing what we are doing is making a difference in the lives of the women in our programs. Living on the beach is also like being on a permanent vacation.
What inspired you to apply for an internship at KK intl.?
One of my friends previously interned for KKi so I learned about the company from them. I started following Krochet Kids on social media and learned more about their mission to empower women rise above poverty.
I have a lot of influential women in my life, therefore I was inspired to help these women in Uganda and Peru have the opportunity to be influential women in their own communities.
What advice would you have for someone thinking of applying for an internship?
The first thing to do is gain a deep understanding of the mission and vision of the company. Ultimately, be yourself because in the end that’s what they want to see. Learn about what you could be getting into because it can be challenging at times but if you embrace the experience you could gain a once in a lifetime experience with your internship at KK intl.
