This is one of my favorite pictures from our hike this past weekend. I find so much peace in reaching a summit after a long, challenging hike. 🧗🏽♂️⛰🌱 In a few minutes, I have a consultation with a new potential doctor for bottom surgery here in Scottsdale, AZ. Her name is Dr. Ley, and she was trained by Dr. Toby Meltzer. In visiting this past week, I’ve heard nothing but rave reviews, and find myself excited and hopeful to meet and speak with her. 💙✨ This trek so far has been trying - exhausting, exciting, rewarding when progress is made - no matter how small - filled with ups and downs, crevices, boulders, missing trail markers, careful steps, et al. I am incredibly grateful for the support system, hiking buddies, and climbing partners I have - the hands I have to hold when I am met with a rocky decline and slippery stones - When the traction in my boots alone isn’t quite enough. Those I trust who have been and are here to catch me when I slip and feel my heart drop to my stomach. Those in turn who jump up and down with me and celebrate in each success. Thank you, loves. I love and appreciate you so very much. 💙 I am confident I will find peace when (absolutely “when”) I reach the top. I know I will find peace, and looking back when it’s all done, I will see the climb and journey to have been well worth any struggles and set backs. Until then, I press on - learning more each day about my needs and limits, and what helps me to continue forward and upward. Deep breaths, friends, framily, and family and their hugs and love, other forms of self care (including hikes!), and celebrating in each victory and step forward. Thank you all always - so much - for your love and support and encouragement, and for being here with me on this journey up. ⛰💙🌱✨ #mountainman #hikewithaview #thisismycurrentsummithike #transition #progress #ftm #trans #transgender #bottomsurgeryjourney #arizona #DrLey #meta #freedom #climbon #love #support #peace #sograteful #movingforward #journeytofreedom #journeytohappiness #journeytopeace (at Scottsdale, Arizona)
