Here's a little snippet from my Saturday set at #Chickenstock last weekend. The song is a brand new original tune that I wrote after a conversation I had in Ft. Myers Beach with an ex-race car driver. After I told him I play music he stole the conversation and ranted about how he hates it when people say he's lucky he got to do something he loves as a profession when luck has nothing to do with it. He also provided some beautiful one liners encompassing his views on life and how many people aren't living like they're actually alive. Most of this song is word for word what this guy said. After we parted ways I booked it back to my notebook and wrote down everything I could remember hoping that I would find a way to put it into a full song.
