The F. Roy Greenleaf, Jr. Education Fund was established by the estate of F. Roy Greenleaf, Jr. Mr. Greenleaf came to the Morongo Basin in the 1970s and started a community bank. His arrival coincided with the beginning of fundraising for the building of what has become Copper Mountain College, and he became a major donor to the CMC Foundation. In fact, the college’s library is named in his honor. Mr. Greenleaf developed a close relationship with the Friends of Copper Mountain College, the college’s original fundraising arm, and made trust arrangements for his estate to be transferred to the Foundation after the death of his wife Beverlie. Roy Greenleaf died in 1996, his wife in 2000. The Greenleaf Education Fund requires that recipients begin their education at Copper Mountain College. They may then pursue baccalaureate degrees at campuses of their choice within the University of California and California State University systems. #igotmystartatcmc #coppermountaincollege #greenleafscholarship #coppermountaincollegefoundation #thisiswhatcmcfoundationdoes #fullride #joshuatree (at Copper Mountain College) https://www.instagram.com/p/CYvIaoZrl6l/?utm_medium=tumblr
