@witnes is one of the many DJs featured in This Thing We Do Houston DJ Culture Revealed. He has been instrumental in shaping culture in Houston since the 90s. Part of the legendary crew Mathematic DJs along with Ceeplus Badknives & Comp 1. They were responsible for hosting events at Fitzgerald's and then later The Waxx Museum. Later Witnes pioneered a new era in "Open Format" over at The Proletariat which introduced such amazing DJs like @djgraciechavez @dayta @squincyjones and many more. Darryl Scott is arguably the most important person in Houston's DJ Culture within the last 30 years. Owner of BLAST RECORDS & TAPES, Darryl Scott initiated the Mixtape Era in the City. He was responsible for the infamous "Park Jams" in MacGregor Park in the 80s which introduced Houston to HIP HOP.
