Ah, I always had a Civilization game running in college. I loved that game. (I am probably about your age, btw.) If she had just said "no" and then refused to communicate further with someone who'd answered "yes," I could respect that. It was the judgment of someone else's hobbies that irked me. On the other hand, that's not her fault; that's the way the answers were phrased. I'm sure many people spend large amounts of time on their hobbies, and I very much dislike the specific disdain people have towards gaming. I know you enjoy gaming yourself (more than once you've nearly convinced me to get an iPad because most of the games you get really into are iPad-only). Gaming is also something you can enjoy with your children (I don't have any of my own but this woman does). Hey, better to find out the incompatibility upfront, in any event! Thanks for replying.
