GW AU where Relena is a normal girl
An AU set if Relena had gone into witness protection instead of being taken by her adoptive father, who obviously had ties with the Royal Family of Sanc. Instead of being raised in a wealthy, politically present household, she grows up in a middle class home and goes to a public high school. Because of her changed environment and raising, she isn’t the same dignified, proper, disciplined person in the show. She still has the same core beliefs and traits, but mixed with the personality of a normal, high school teenage girl.
Relena is still all about politics, because she keeps up with the news and social media about the Alliance and OZ.
She’s not a hacker by any means, but she is really good at doing her research. She’s pulled up lots of articles on the horrible stuff the Alliance did both on Earth and in the Colonies, and the new up and coming Military Specials Group, OZ.
She is also very outspoken about her beliefs and opinions.
She is on the Debate Team, Class President, and Captain of the Futbol(Soccer) team.
She’s way more abrasive and reckless than in the show(which is saying a lot), and jumps at the chance to make a difference, no matter what the cost.
Everything else is the same:
Heero and the other pilots journey to Earth to fight OZ, the whole conflict with the Colonies, etc. The only difference is no one knows, except for a select few, who Relena is. Minister Darlian is the one who put her into witness protection, and besides his wife and Zechs, no one knows who she really is.
Relena and Heero meet the same way; he washes up on the beach where she happens to be at(for whatever reason the story will dictate) and he transfers to her school in order to kill her.
From there, I have things go a little different. Since Relena likes to make her opinion public every chance she gets, the Alliance figures out who she is, and starts sending people to assassinate her. Dr. J intersects these orders and sends a new mission to Heero: protect Relena and bring her to Point A for extraction to the Colonies.
That’s kinda where I want to follow the story; the journey Heero and Relena take together, all the shit she gets them into because she can’t stay still for one minute, and them just falling in love XD I kinda don’t want to write the other parts, like with the other Gundam Pilots and the stuff going down with Treize and Une and stuff. I was gonna have it all mentioned throughout the fic, like how it’s all over the news about Vice Foreign Minister Darlain’s assassination and the Gundam attacks; but I mostly want to focus on their journey. Eh, idk, mostly that.
