Parents and their Fates
Hong Li was born to an archaeologist from the sandbender tribe, and a Metal Clan guard who was originally born in Ba Sing Se. His mother and father moved into Zaofu when his mother was expecting Hong.
However, several years after his birth, his father had gone off to continue his discoveries of the spirit world out in the desert, and has never seen him since.
His mother continued to work as a guard in the metallic city, even though she had to watch over her own health, and her father. Hong decided to live on his own, and work as a guard just as his mother had, at the age of 17.
