To say about what, particularly? GDP as a measure, or something else?
I also cannot emphasize enough how important I think economics education is and how much I believe everyone should familiarize themselves with at least the principles of economics. Economics is at least as important as studying history, and people with power take advantage of general economics illiteracy to pull all sorts of shenanigans, so please, please, please study economics. An economics history course, if you are at a university that offers one, is also a good idea.
To those who think you ~can't study economics because it's math~: One, stop cutting yourself off from learning something before you've even tried it, and two, if you know algebra, you can study the principles of economics. If you don't know algebra yet, you can still read a lot of the general works that summarize the concepts.
