I love Happy World With Happy People so much, but I wish we knew more about the entire plot.

Like... We all know that Thomas is 40 years old, Asian and has participated in a war where he was forced to eat his best friend and used to be a farmer before that, but... Where is the action of the game taking place? At first, I wanted to assume that maybe Asia as well, but then I realized that Flameguy is German, so going by characters' nationalities is pretty stupid. Besides, Thomas isn't even an Asian name anyway, so maybe he just has Asian blood. Let's break down the names of the characters so it could be easier to determine it!

Soren - Thomas' best friend's name: Origin - Scandinavian; Meaning - Severe; The most common surname associated with the name - Jensen; Top countries with the highest number of births of individuals named Soren - USA, Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, New Zealand, Spain, United Kingdom.

Thomas - Our main character's name: Origin - Greek; Meaning - A Twin; The most common surname associated with the name - Smith; Top countries with the highest number of births of individuals named Thomas - United Kingdom, USA, Ireland.

Andreas - Flameguy's real name: Origin - Greek; Meaning - Manly; The most common surname associated with the name - Andersson; Top countries with the highest number of births of individuals named Andreas - Germany, France, Slovakia.

With that being said, I'd like to believe that Andreas is a German immigrant. As for the place where everything is happening, I think I'm having a dilemma between USA and United Kingdom, but I'm leaning more towards USA. Why? Soren's parents were canonically strict Christians and America is more known for that. Also, Thomas used to be a farmer before war and there are way more farmers in America than UK. I don't know at what time the game is taking place, so it's hard for me to determine what war Thomas could've participated in with Soren. We know that Thomas and Soren were 17-19 (I don't remember exactly) when they joined the military. Thomas is currently 40. However, we can see that Thomas owns a computer, a radio and a grandfather clock. Grandfather clocks were popularized in the late 17th-19th centuries. Radios were popularized in the 1920s and extended their popularity into the 1930s and 40s. This time period is known as the "Golden Age Of Radio". One of the key factors of radio popularization is the importance of the military communication during World War I and how it increased civilan interest and development of radio technology after the war. It was also used to announce World War II. As for the computer, small computers were popularized in the 70s-80s, so the action of the game can't be happening earlier than that. As I said many times before, Thomas is 40 and joined the military when he was 17-19, so that would mean that he joined around 21-23 years ago. If we were to continue following through with the belief that the game is set in the 70s-80s, the war would've happened in around the 1947-1949/1957-1959. In 1957, there was a Vietnam war that started in 1955 and lasted around 19 years. Some Americans were forced to participate in it through the mandatory military draft. Thomas could've been one of them. By the time the war ended, he would've been around 38, which would make sense why his trauma seems kinda fresh. It would mean that only 2 years passed ever since the end of the war. We know that Skittles (Soren) is 31, so maybe this is the age that he died? If you wish to share your opinion about this or correct me, I'm always willing to listen! So just a small recap of my theory:

• The game is set in the 80s.

• Actions take place in USA.

• Thomas participated in the Vietnam war.

• Soren died at 31.
