Long story short, garmentos are stubborn. My office desperately wants to keep running normally for as long as possible... even though things are decidedly abnormal around here. It is more cumbersome, if not totally impossible, for me to work without access to our physical files. But I wish they’d throw in the towel. It just doesn’t feel right. 

At least I’m home for the weekend!

writing well (and pretty quick too!), putting outfits together, coming up with character concepts, being really passionate (not sure if thats a talent but im definitely good at it)

Are these coats warm enough for those occasional biting new york winter winds though? I want a coat like this but im afraid i'll literally die when the wind hits my cheeks and legs at a specific angle.

It depends. A fully lined, 100% wool coat will get you through most of a New York winter (I speak from experience here). The key is to layer with additional wool or cashmere: sweaters, hats, gloves, scarves. I do recommend that everyone have a proper down/synthetic down coat in their closet, knee-length, with a fur- or faux fur-lined hood that zips up fully to the neck. When you have a windchill in the negatives, as we do for at least a few weeks out of the year, it’s indispensable. 

That said, I don’t usually find the need to bust the down coat out until at least January, unless I’m queuing for a show.

totally off topic but your friend is gorgeous! and it seems like so many people i know went to this concert!

It felt like all of New York was at those two Radio City shows. I wound up seated next to people I am friends with on Facebook via mutual acquaintance!

And yes, Liana is drop-dead gorgeous, like, have-to-beat-creeps-away-in-public gorgeous.

No no no don’t worry about it! I didn’t interpret it that way at all. I was being flippant only about those who are deluded enough to think that New York’s Elite will actually be present at these July 4 parties at the piers, as opposed to present at their downtown penthouses, Martha’s Vineyard, etc. Which is not to say that $400/ticket isn’t expensive or that the pier should be walled off to the public. This is both stupid and deplorable, which is why I anticipate the area crowd to be mostly clueless tourists. You know how when you’re elbowing your way through Times Square it’s like 60% mild-mannered Belgians? I expect Pier 17 to be about as rowdy, lol.
