Sometimes I feel like Thonalby is genuinely a ship I pulled out of my ass… I made it because Alby deserves to have two hot dumbasses for the price of one, and genuinely I do see it as a ship that could happen if Thomas just stayed at the Glade longer, or if Alby survived. Idk I just might be over my head here but like TRUST Thonalby DOES make sense

Hello!!! Regarding your Ask Ship repost can I ask what do you think of Thonalby? (Thomas x Alby x Newt) I’m asking questions 1 - 25!! As for the free question, can I ask if you think it would actually work if Thomas stayed at the Glade longer?

1. On a scale of 1 - 10, how would you rate this ship? I'm thinkinggg 7/10? It's not something I had ever thought about before but it's interesting and also I love anything involving Alby getting all the love ever

2. Favorite thing about this ship? Alby getting all the love ever

3. Least favorite thing about this ship? Umm I don't have a specific thing I dislike about it idk it's just not something I'd ever thought about

4. How do you see this ship? Umm I think Alby is in a relationship with Newt and Thomas has a bit of a crush on Alby maybe and Alby kind of warms up to him after the Changing ig٫ I think Alby would be kinda endeared by Thomas and sees him in a more positive light after learning more about their fucked up world. Idk how the actual poly relationship would work since I do see Newt as a very jealous character but also I think he'd be happy for Alby getting loved on since he thinks everything he does and feels is cute (as long as he's involved too LOL)

5. If this ship didn't meet in canon, how do you imagine they would have met? They did meet so lol

6. A song you think of for this ship? I'm not the kind of person who thinks of ships when I listen to music but that's because I listen to bullshit (I have a very strange music taste)

7. What would a lovechild between them look like? I think neither Thomas nor Newt would wanna have kids٫ but Alby does absolutely give me dad vibes. I think he'd be a girl dad and he would maybe foster and/or adopt and Newt would help out but I don't think Thomas would rly wanna be involved and Newt wouldn't wanna be seen as a parental figure either.

8. If this ship were animals (if they're not already), what animals would they be? Alby is a bunny Newt is a wolf and Thomas is a sheep

9. Speaking of, would this ship be good at having a pet? What kind of pet would they have? I think Alby would have a bird (thanks Paloma) or bunnies (my personal favorite) but Newt wouldnt want pets and Thomas would suck at caring for pets and also Alby's bird probably bites him and the bunnies either dont care for him or are scared of him

10. They're getting married. Who proposed? Where was that proposal? What season is the wedding taking place? I don't think any of them believe in marriage either٫ they'd just kinda live together and share their things

11. Who's the big spoon? Who's the little spoon? Do they switch it up? Alby gets squeezed between them but also Newt and Alby tend to spoon more bc Thomas doesn't rly like physical affection (neither does Alby but Newt is annoying and also strictly a big spoon)

12. Most likely to sit on the other one's lap? Newt. He doesn't understand he's way too big to sit on people's laps. He also doesn't care. He's kind of a big dog really

13. What's something they like to do together? I think Alby and Thomas like to fish together (super random but that's what they do in my sims game so)٫ and generally they like quiet activities where usually Alby's some sort of mentor for Thomas? (Like in the fishing example٫ Alby knows how to fish and teaches Thomas)

14. Is this a ship that you like? I don't dislike it once again I think it's cute because I think Alby deserves all the love ever but also I can't rly see it٫ mostly because of Newt being very jealous and also that I don't think it'd ever evolve past Alby and Thomas maybe having tiny little crushes on eachother. Still very cute tho

15. One to three AUs you would like to see explored with this ship? Umm I guess one where they never leave the Glade٫ a modern au one and maybe something like role reversal? Idk

17. What are the colors of this ship and do you like them together? Newt grey to me (maybe a cooler grey) Alby is a brownish orange (similar ro amber) and Thomas is a dark red. The color combination is kinda horrendous but I think it can work.

18. If this ship was a dessert, what kind of dessert would they be? I think one of those cracker cakes that have several floors I cant find an exact image but I hope youre picturing it

19. An ideal free day for them would look like? What are they doing on that day? Doing nothing and getting to sleep in and be bums all day٫ I think all 3 of them need it

19. What was the moment in canon that made you go "Yeah, I ship it"? If they haven't met in canon, what influenced you to ship the characters?

I joke shipped nalby since very early on bc Newt just would not leave Alby alone and then as the story progressed I was like "oh fuck ok he like LIKES him" and now its my otp and then Alby and Thomas was also kind of a joke thing (more of a crackship). I thought Thomas wanting to save Alby so bad was really cute and him hanging him up by the vines was rly funny and then after the Changing Alby's speech to Thomas was just rly sweet idk. For Newt and Thomas I do think Thomas has a bit of a fat crush on Newt since strong guys seem to be his type and Newt is pretty nice but I do think its very much one sided lol...

20. Who likes public displays of affection more? Newt is absolutely a pda guy while Alby and Thomas are more touch averse

21. What would be some pet names they would give each other? Uhm I guess Newt calls Thomas Tommy and since that seems to be a thing he does for several characters (like Chuck->Chucky) my personal hc is Alby is also named Alby bc of Newt. Alby and Thomas aren't very keen on pet names but ig Alby calling them "boy" when he gets mad at them also counts lol

22. A headcanon you have for this ship? Not many that aren't just nalby hcs lol...Ill leave that for the inevitable nalby ask.

23. Describe this ship in the most out of context way that you can Lowkey just two gay guys and their thing (Thomas)

24. Does this ship remind you of another ship? It does remind me of thominnewt (is that their ship mame?) a bit٫ mostly bc of my opinion of me not rly seeing it but liking 2 of the potential pairings in there (minmas and minnewt)

25. Would it have worked had Thomas stayed longer in the Glade? Once again I don't rly think it would've ever evolved past Alby and Thomas crushing on eachother but I do think both Alby and Newt would've warmed up to him more and Newt would've turned a bit of a blind eye to the occasional gay stuff happening between Thomas and Alby

They deserve all the world.. I have many headcanons for them, actually!!

Thominewtalblly Headcanons!!:

They all have very vastly different interpretations of love.

Alby's more subtle in his love. Small touches, back pats, hugs when the situation calls for it

Newt's a bit more obvious, all the same stuff as Alby, but with the added kisses-on-hands and ruffled hair

Gally and Thomas are quite similar in what they regard as love. They're both very avoidant, but when they do show love it's in times of need.

Minho's the most obvious. Arms wrapped around waists, cheek kisses, forehead kisses, all types of kisses. He also just likes clinging onto people

Cooking!!:

In terms of cooking, l'd say Gally is the best. Not that it's as great as Frypan's, but it's decent enough to eat

Thomas and Minho burn everything they touch when they're in the kitchen. In Modern!AU they're banned from anything regarding cooking

Newt and Alby are decent but they HATE cooking. They only do it in times of need

Modern AU hobbies.. Hmmm

Minho would also be into fashion, for some reason

Thomas would be really interested in lego sets or those digging kits

Newt's either interested in some old lady shit like knitting or planting rose bushes.

Alby would like reading, or maybe listening to old songs, or thrifting

Gally would LOVE those build-your-own kits that use balsa wood and he'd make the most intricate designs ever

as for shared hobbies:

Of course Thomas and Minho would be into track and running. I think Alby would join them from time to time

Newt and Alby would probably like planning together, like dates and vacations

Gally and Newt don't have many hobbies together but one thing they love doing is playing scrabble or jenga

Gally and Alby just love cuddling together, put them in a room with nothing but a weighted blanket and TRUST they WILL cuddle

Thomas and Newt LOVE debating eachother. just silly topics like "is apple juice better than orange"

Gally and Thomas love doing puzzles together. Don't ask.

Everyone is practically Minho's judges on his outfits. Sometimes Newt or Thomas model them!

Behavior headcanons:

Thomas has a problem with pressure. He either hugs too tight, squeezes too much, or pinches. If stress toys were sent in the glade he woukd've popped them all

Gally has a thing for chewing random things. bottle caps, plastic wrappers, Thomas’ squishies.. He just needs to chew

Alby has trouble with his tone, he also needs elaboration on certain things a lot. He also has multiple issues with texture

Minho needs things repeated to him so he can make sense of it. He just needs extra time to process things which can be annoying during Runner shifts.

Newt NEEDS pressure constantly. Whenever his limp is acting up he puts on the weighted blanket and makes his boyfriends all lay on top of him. He loves tight hugs
