the quintessential thoosie outfit
Sheep spraypainted with logo for Alton Towers’ The Smiler guerrilla marketing campaign, 2013
Yk, there is an issue I've noticed in theme park fandoms specifically. And there's something that I'd really like to remind some of you guys
Today someone complimented my hhn shirt. I asked if they saw the Killer Klowns announcement. They said yes, I mentioned that I think it'll be our central park zone... and they proceeded to say "nah that's Fortnitemares" in the most matter of fact tone.
This is not the only time that me expressing my opinions in a theme park fandom has got me grief.
I hate talking to hardcore thoosies bc the moment I start talking about my favorites they no longer see me as credible. I told someone Sirens Curse is one of my favorites, alongside Stardust Racers, and his words, word for word, were "you need to ride some better roller coasters".
And unfortunately, this is a regular occurrence for me
theme park enthusiasts of all kinds, hear my pleas:
stop putting people down for having opinions
stop dissing people for their favorites
crack theories are not a reason to start arguing with someone
the response to an opinion different to yours is "i personally think it is (x)" or "i understand you like that, but i like (x)", not wording your opinions like fact
thank you for coming to my Dead Talk
Guess who just got called Coastertok’s Hitler all because I’m objectum *sigh*
Forgot his name.
@gothpossumm
have you considered that being too obese for rollercoasters should probably be a wakeup call?
have you considered kicking a brick wall with your bare fucking feet and then sticking your gnarled broken toes directly into the path of an oncoming train? fucking moron. actual piece of shit idiot. there's the obvious "most people aren't obese by choice" argument that I could make- because SOME OF US have significant endocrine issues that cause uncontrollable weight gain even in the throes of disordered eating, but then there's the DO YOU KNOW WHO THE FUCK YOU'RE TALKING TO argument I could make. Because actually, YES. I HAVE considered that being too obese for rollercoasters could be a wakeup call. IN FACT, BEING TOO OBESE FOR ROLLERCOASTERS WAS MY WAKEUP CALL. this is me too fat to ride in the modified seating of a B&M- The Hulk, to be specific, but B&Ms in general are LARGELY known for being the most plus-sized friendly coasters. In fact, at this weight, I was too fat for some dark rides, believe it or not!
and this is me after losing over 100lbs and riding Iron Gwazi, well known for being EXTREMELY difficult to fit! (RMC when I catch you RMC)
I MEASURED MY WEIGHT LOSS WITH ROLLERCOASTERS, DIPSHIT.
and DESPITE being over 100lbs down I am STILL plus sized, and given my body proportions I could probably lose another 60lbs and still not fit on some coasters!! I have WIDE ass hips, WIDE ass shoulders, and MUSCULAR ASS LEGS. Some people are too tall for coasters! some skinny women still can't ride things with OTS restraints because their breasts are too big! some men can't ride lap/calf bar coasters because their legs are too strong! some women have hips that are too broad for the seatbelts on GCIs and RMCs. some super fat people have the exact right proportions that despite being twice my weight they fit on rides that I don't! TEST SEATS AREN'T ONLY FOR FAT PEOPLE. TEST SEATS ARE FOR EVERYONE. TEST SEATS MAKE THE THEME PARK EXPERIENCE BETTER FOR EVERYONE. TEST SEATS MAKE DISPATCH FASTER. TEST SEATS SELL MERCH. TEST SEATS SAVE TEARS AND MAKE WAIT TIMES SHORTER. TEST SEATS HELP EVERYONE, INCLUDING SNOT NOSED ELITIST THOOSIE RATS LIKE YOU. ESPECIALLY ON WEIRD ASS COASTERS LIKE GOLD STRIKER THAT FOR SOME REASON HAVE EXTREMELY LONG SEATBELTS AND THE WORLD'S MOST RESTRICTIVE LAP BAR.
after playfully making fun of my girlfriend for nearly 2 years about her hyperfixation with trains, i have been tragically struck down by an arguably worse one... rollercoasters
anyway if ur a theme park enthusiast and ur cool follow me xo
