ThorBruce Week 2021 - fire

If we’re being honest Bruce was out of character for most mcu movies. It’s like they never knew what to do with him or none of them could just stick with something for him.

Like avengers Bruce was great

Age of Ultron Bruce had his personality altered slightly and let’s face it that whole thing with him and Nat was just uncomy (I’m pretty sure the actor and actress did that in purpose because that writing was just nope and some of the things was also nope)

Then the next movie with Thor (I can’t spell that name either sorry) and his whole personality changed again. But it was kinda a good thing since the writing was good. It was something people were okay with since it was more than watchable

Then the next movies and his personality once again gets altered and altered.

I firmly believe just about no one knew what to do with Bruce Banner in the mcu since they went with a whole different backstory and tried to force a het relationship and things just kept going downhill (uphill with the Thor movie he was in but still a Bruce with a different personality)

Like Bruce in the third Thor was movie was GOOD but it also wasn’t really Bruce

Like I will happily watch that movie because good writing and acting but I also know that hey this ain’t my Bruce Banner

And maybe that’s because Bruce has always been one of my favorite characters and I got into the mcu in a. Very bad year for me and my depressed self just wants the pain and all that

Like gimme Bruce become darkly sarcastic and who’s a bit of an asshole and would happily fuck with the government and then he gets all soft with Thor who’s a literal ray of sunshine (unless you hurt someone he loves) and it’s just like dark and light and there’s so much pinning before they get together and no one really understands it but like Thor can be dark when he gets furious when someone hurts who he loves and Bruce is just on the sidelines watching like hey you’re own fault and this turned into a thorbruce ask and I have no idea how I’m so sorry it’s so long

Please remember, for the sake of your sanity, that we will still welcome your submissions even after the event week has passed, though of course we are all aiming for the end of the month as the ideal goal. Also, in the spirit of inclusivity, we would like to announce a new feature for this year's ThorBruce week: miniposting!

We realize that everybody has stuff going on in their lives and sometimes deadlines can sneak up on you or sometimes you're just not in the right frame of mind to pump out a 5K story/fully inked masterpiece for each prompt. However, that doesn't mean it has to stop you from participating in the festivities during (and beyond) event week! This can also be done in conjunction with regular posting, of course.

See that ask ("Have you a query?") button? Just hit that and drop us a blurb.  A headcanon. A sentence. A what if! Some adapted song lyrics! Keep your blog attached or go anonymous, it's up to you. —— i think i did this wrong but at the end of it i had such a blast making this : ) posting it now i think its up 2 interpretation on wut makes these ‘variants’ but the intentional premise is just “imagine a world where evrything feels like an arts n crafts project by a v imaginative person” lol

Thorbruce day 1!!!

AHHH SO EXCITEDDDD

because im lazy AF i only have HC’s that i might turn into a fic later

here they are!

Ok so

Thor is a golden retriever (of course)

Bruce is a chocolate lab puppy with green eyes

They are both brought in for the whole timeline thing

Maybe the difference for Thor was that he killed Thanos in Infinity war

Bruce’s was that he refused to join the (dog??) Avengers

So bruce is still the tiny shy guy who strays away from any human contact

Thor is an outgoing pup

Dogs can talk to each other

TVA has a translator but its kinda bad

So Bruce And Thor become friends

Thor and bruce trying to get out of the TVA and start their own timeline or something together??

Bruce almost gets pruned

Thor saves Bruce

They both end up pruned

It ends with them in a kind of symbiotic relationship trying to find their way back (think Eddie & venom at the end of venom 1)
