Ok, so i had another ask about your modern cotl au, but it involves the lamb, and since you haven't included them yet idk if you had plans or just didn't want to include them but

I had a vision where the lamb encounters Nari when he goes to a bar (to get distance from his siblings and also the responsibilities of raising a mutant child) and of course, the lamb flirts with him. Hes tall, dark, mysterious all that good stuff, and also lamb is drunk.

Narinder is not interested because Hes an assassin and also just adopted a mutant child that people are after, so there's no way he's trusting this rando sheep that's suddenly very interested.

Then, fast forward a week, Narinder gets his first job since the "incident". Its a covert job, needs to be a quick kill with no witnesses. Two person job, an assassin and a cleaner.

(also the lamb realises that this is entirely too coincidental and the handsome cat man likely doesn't trust them AT ALL)

I do already have plans for Lamb (and Goat to that extent) that I briefly posted a doodle about! After getting fired from the Assassin Hub that gave him his hits, obviously he struggled and decided to try and lay low with a normal job. Luckily, he had already befriended a worker at a cafe he frequently visits lately and Thorjulbre, bright eyed sweetheart as always, was more than willing to help his friend get a job!

However, funnily enough, it happens to be run by a Lamb that used to work like Baal and Aym that he maaaay have had a hand in complaining about and getting fired,,,

Lamb, already knows fully about Narinder's problem of his mutant daughter, having kept tabs on the raid and whatever happened after that (also stole the files from the now abandoned lab itself) so they promised Narinder that working for them will grant some. Extra protection to keep people off his back.

Lamb and Goat run a cafe as a front for their investigative and agent business. Yknow. To make sure their employees have a good cover up and for those that aren't on duty!

thinking about base lore things in modern au. Lamb and Goat run a secret agent company that focuses on trying to destroy corrupt systems from the inside out and Narinder becomes a recent hire after asking Thorjulbre (Narinder is a regular at the Crimson Crown Cafe that he works in and tentatively asked Thorjulbre for help with employment.).

The work pairs agents together with those specialising with on field work and their partner that provides support. Baal and Aym also get hired since they work under Narinder and they constantly bicker about who gets to do what. Thorjulbre got assigned to Narinder after being hired because clearly they were already friendly and anything related to them will be shenanigans

Also crowns! They’re eldritch creatures that had been found and researched before mass escaping into the wild. The ones that didn’t ended up involved in experiments to combine mortals with these creatures to see what weapons can be created yet so far only Odessa became a surviving experiment. In Narinder’s old job he had been sent to assassinate the head scientist yet because of an unknown raid occurring ending up rescuing Odessa. Yknow. Accidental child acquirement.
