—- he agreed with the woman’s words WHOLEHEARTEDLY, having understood from a young age that marriage didn’t exist as a home for LOVE or ADMIRATION, but strictly as a STEPPING STONE to a higher social ground ( a means to an end, to be put into layman’s terms ). still, to hear a woman of such BEAUTY present such a negative view of what many women and men alike believe to be a thing of such grace and wonder, it struck a STRANGE CHORD within him.
